Full branding system, web design, and copywriting for a Seattle creative agency.
Clyde Golden is a new Seattle-based creative agency founded and run by Tim Yeadon, my former creative director. Tim asked me to handle all things design for his venture, from identity and brand system to Clyde Golden's digital presence.
To kick things off, Tim and I discussed his goals, likes/dislikes, and brainstormed a variety of concepts. The final solution is a metaphorical one — inspired by Tim's desire to help his clients craft intelligent strategies and thoughtful user journeys — that references wayfinding and its established visual language.
The resulting logo is constructed from two major components: a typographic monogram combined with one of the most universal symbols of wayfinding. These elements — the C, G, and arrow — come together naturally and without excessive force.
A fresh color palette, custom iconography, and strong typographic approach work with the logo to create a minimal and bold brand identity.
Sole designer on the project.
Responsible for the branding concept and execution, site design, custom icons, and design/authorship of the style guide.
