Branding, web design, and art direction for a local Seattle auto shop.
Johnson's Auto Repair is a small business in north Seattle with a strong client base and — when I met with them — a terribly outdated brand and website. They needed a new identity and online presence that paid homage to the shop's 1949 roots while offering customers an easy way to engage with the brand.
I'm not much of a car gal, so this project began with a lot of research and mood boards (small sampling above). Jeff, the business's owner, wanted something that felt classic yet relevant in today's visual landscape.
The resulting, overarching brand is intentionally clean and un-pretentious. Mirroring this simplicity, the site is a fluid, single-scrolling page with expandable submission forms and easily-accessible contact information.
Sole designer on the project.
